(seed propagated) This is one of those "once in a great while" native plant discoveries that's destined for xeric greatness. Found growing near Henrieville, Garfield Co., UT this is an unusual form of a normally white or light pink flowered species. It blooms all summer with large, bright yellow, flat topped flower clusters. These clusters set big showy seed heads that hold on to the plant to provide outstanding winter interest. Not a finicky species like some dryland native plants if grown in a dry, well drained soil. Introduced by Dr. Susan Meyer, UT native plant expert, author and founder of 'Utah's Choice' native plant growers association. 5" deep Premium pot.
