6" tall x 18" wide. This collection from Alamagordo, NM of Claret Cup is a great variety for hot climate areas. The large stems cluster to form big mounds. The Alamagordo form is distinctive because of its big, coarse black spines that mature to brown giving the plants a nice bi-color effect. Beautiful scarlet flowers. Plant in a well drained soil. Zones 6-9
