Comments about High Country Gardens Helianthemum Rhodantha Carnea:

I planted a 4x4 foot section of this next to some dark green euphorbia and purple salvia. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the silver leaf on this one. It is small and has a certain rhythm to it. I would love it just for the foliage, and then it goes above and gives a show of beautiful pink flowers for a good portion of the late spring. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Comments about High Country Gardens Helianthemum Rhodantha Carnea:

I love "Sun Roses" and have grown many in the past. These do look healthy and grew but no flowers. I've never had that happen before. None of my plants flowered, regardless of the variety.

      Q & A

      USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

      • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
      • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
