Our Guarantee

We guarantee that you will receive healthy, vigorous plants that transplant successfully and prosper. If your plant fails within 120 days of receipt, you may choose to have a credit, refund or a one-time replacement plant (if available). Shipping charges are NON-refundable. Our guarantee does not cover damage caused by severe weather, animals or neglect, which are circumstances beyond our control.

In the rare case you have a plant problem, please contact us using:

  • Our easy online claim form. Please include your customer and order number from the sheet shipped with your plants. Indicate whether you would like a credit, replacement or refund.
  • Call us at 800-925-9387. We're happy to help you!

Extended Fall Planting Guarantee

Spring and summer transplants have our standard 120-day credit/replacement/or refund guarantee. If your fall transplants (Aug-Nov) fail to make it through the winter, you can choose to have a credit issued, a one time replacement plant (if available) or a refund. Fall claims must be received by May 1, 2010.

Non-Plant Items:

If, for any reason, you are not satisfied, return the item within 30 days for a credit or refund. In the case of fertilizers and similar gardening supplies, returned the unused portion. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Your Order Arrives Fresh & Ready

  • Plant orders arrive packed in our specially designed shipping boxes with our complete David's Helpful Hints for Transplanting Your New Plants instruction booklet. We have designed our own custom shipping boxes to hold your plants snugly and securely. No styrofoam peanuts!
  • Orders are shipped through the week beginning on Mondays to arrive by Saturday for a weekend planting.
  • Unlike most plant catalogs, you choose your plant ship week at checkout.

More info about our plants:

  • All our plants are grown in pots. We don’t sell or recommend bare-root perennials or shrubs for planting in harsh western climates.
  • Our potted plants arrive fully rooted, healthy and take off fast!
  • Our perennial plants are generally ready-to-bloom the first growing season.
  • Perennials will not grow as rapidly as annual flowers.  Planted in the garden, most perennials will require 2-3 growing seasons to reach mature size listed in the plant description.
  • Patience, good soil preparation and attention to new transplants will reward you with much pleasure and beauty over the years.
  • Please see our plant pot sizes. Most of our plants are sold in Premium 5" deep pots unless otherwise noted in the plant description.
