Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
Erratic precipitation is to be expected here in the western US. So if you have a large area you’d like to plant with xeric color, this mix of 16 species of annuals and perennials is an excellent choice. Included in the mix are California Poppy, Blanket Flower, Desert Bluebell, Scarlet Gilia, Blue Flax, Penstemon, Coreopsis, Gayfeather and other long blooming species. Provide supplemental irrigation for the first growing season to establish this mix. Well suited for use over most of the western US, but not the desert Southwest. Seed at 1 oz. per 125 sq. ft. or 4 oz. bag per 500 sq. ft. unmixed or 1 oz flower seed per 1 lb. of grass seed. Zones 4-9
