Yes, the spring garden is easy to plant with lots of blooming perennials; but keeping things colorful through the summer months and into fall takes some study and planning.
The ‘August Afternoons’ perennial garden designed by David Salman of High Country Gardens does this for you, bringing together a wonderful assortment of perennials and ornamental grasses, including three superb plant varieties not previously offered in our catalog. The garden blooms in shades of blue, pink and ivory, from mid-summer through early fall. Not only does this garden add color, texture and fragrance to your landscape but numerous hummingbirds and butterflies will also be attracted by these nectar-rich plants.
This collection has a total of 17 plants including:
- (1) each of Miscanthus ‘Silberfeder’, Agastache ‘Ava’ and Perovskia ‘Blue Spires’
- (2) each of Echinacea ‘Magnus’ and Lavandula angustifolia ‘Mitcham Gray’
- (3) each of Calamagrostis ‘Overdam’ and Sedum ‘Autumn Fire’
- (4) Origanum ‘Rotkugel’
All plants come in premium 5” deep pots for more first season blooms!
Garden covers a 5’ wide x 10’ long (50 sq. ft.) area and comes complete with planting diagram and maintenance guide.
