Agastache Sampler
Hummingbird Mint Collection
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
Agastache is a showy group of herbs primarily native to the southwestern parts of the U.S. and northern Mexico. Easily grown in good garden soils or leaner rock garden areas as long as the site is well-drained. Some of the members of the Agastache genus are xeric, but all appreciate regular watering, and will flower more prolifically. For gardens in areas with wet winter weather, mulch plant crowns with crushed gravel, and plant your Agastaches on south or west facing slopes in fast draining soil. Not generally recommended for fall planting in Zones 5-6 as Agastaches love long periods of hot weather to root out properly. We have found that Agastache plants transplant best when actively growing, and will not be frost hardened when you receive them.
Agastache (Hummingbird Mint) is for fabulous flowers, fragrance and deliriously happy hummingbirds.
The Sampler includes 5 plants: one plant each of Agastache cana, Agastache ‘Acapulco Salmon & Pink’, Agastache rugosum, ‘Blue Fortune’ and rupestris.
Zones 6-10
Special Notes:
We reserve the right to substitute a named Agastache cultivar of equal or greater value if we are sold out of a variety listed.
