Lavender Sampler
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
A great way to discover your favorite cultivar.
Lavender must be planted in full-sun locations with good air circulation and fast-draining soil. Sand and sandy-loams are a “must” for eastern US and the Midwest soils! Lavender will tolerate clay and clay-loam in dry conditions. Two inches of very coarse sand or small diameter gravel around the base of plant will keep the crown drier and promote healthy plants in all climates. Prune in spring as needed. Top dress with Yum Yum Mix and Planters II once a year in mid-to-late fall or mid-spring.
Zones 6-10
Our Lavender Sampler includes a total of 8 plants: 1 plant each of Lavandula ‘Provence’, Grosso’, ‘Hidcote Superior’, ‘Thumbelina Leigh’, ‘Mitcham Gray’, ‘Silver Frost’, and ‘Royal Velvet’ .
Not recommended for fall planting in Zone 6.
We reserve the right to substitute a named lavender cultivar of equal or greater value if we are sold out of a variety listed above.
