Description:

15” x 15” wide, (seed/cutting propagated). Zizophora is an intensely mint scented perennial from western Asia that thrives in dry, infertile soils and colors the garden with clouds of blue, thyme-like flowers in the summer. It is highly attractive to butterflies and re-seeds nicely when planted into flower beds mulched with gravel. (Leave the faded flowers standing until the fall to encourage the plant to re-seed).

To encourage more summer flowers, pinch the young stems back by half their height in mid-spring to thicken up the plant.

Zones 5-9.
