Great Plains Verbena
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
4” x 15-18” wide (cutting propagated). This perennial form of the Great Plains Verbena is an ever-blooming wonder, coloring the garden with its magenta-pink flowers all summer. Originally selected from plants native to the high plains of Wyoming, it is adapted to extremes of heat and cold, and unlike less cold hardy species, is excellent for fall planting. Verbena bipinnatifida needs a lean, well-drained soil in full sun. Butterflies love the flowers for their abundant nectar.
Zones 3-8
