Brewster Co., TX. The northern-most form of Thelocactus bicolor, variety flavidispinum is found in the Big Bend area of TX. This collection has really nice red and yellow spines that complement the big, brightly colored flowers. Zones 7-10. Collection # SB424

THELOCACTUS bicolor: Primarily native to northeastern Mexico, T. bicolor is a handsome species eagerly sought for its huge shimmering violet flowers and stout, attractive spination. This species makes an excellent potted specimen.
