Description:
12” x 4-6” wide, (division propagated). Discovered growing in a small Swiss plant nursery and named after the nearby town, this lovely little Blue-eyed Grass cultivar is a profuse bloomer with exceptionally large (1” diameter) vivid blue flowers. “Lucerne” has attractive grass-like foliage and blooms for up to 8 weeks, beginning in late spring. It grows best in compost-enriched garden soils under average-to-moist conditions. Plant with Monarda ‘Petite Delight’, Diascia, or other long-blooming perennials that enjoy identical growing conditions in the garden.
