Description:

20-30’ x 15’ wide, (seed propagated). The much beloved sub-alpine pine of the central Rockies is found at higher elevations up to the tree line. The tree always has a distinctive growth habit. Its stiff green needles are flecked with ornamental white sap flakes. A slow grower putting on 4-6” per year once established. Actually quite heat tolerant it grows well in Albuquerque, NM where summer temperatures reach into the upper 90’s °F. Zones 2-7.
