Description:
PICEA pungens ‘St. Mary’s Broom’ (St. Mary’s Broom Dwarf Blue Spruce) 24-30” x 24-30” wide, (grafted). This fabulous Dwarf form of our native blue spruce is small enough to fit in any garden. Growing only two to three inches a year, this beauty eventually forms a tight mound of very blue-gray foliage. Grafted on blue spruce rootstock (not Norway spruce as is common) to insure it will grow slowly and stay tight.
Plant it with evergreen groundcovers like Delosperma ‘Blut’ and smaller growing ornamental grasses behind it to highlight this spruce’s form and stunning foliage. Zones 3-8.
