Penstemon 'Blue Midnight'
Blue Midnight Penstemon
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
30” x 24-30” wide, (cutting propagated). A hybrid variety with outstanding parentage, ‘Blue Midnight’ is a cross between one of my all-time favorite garden performers, Penstemon strictus, and the showy Mexican species Penstemon gloxinioides. The resulting plant is a vigorous grower with substantial green foliage and large, plump eye-catching flowers for much of the summer. The individual flowers are bluish-purple in color with showy mulberry streaks in the throat. An outstanding companion for Moonshine Yarrow. Zones 6-9.
