Description:
A distinct regional selection of the standard Desert Beardtongue, the seed for ‘Burgundy Beauty Mix’ comes from the harsh climate of Coconino Co. in northeastern AZ. Through selective breeding HCG has developed this pleasing selection that blooms with a profusion of bright rose-pink flowers and has captivating burgundy tinted foliage and stems. Vigorous and long blooming, it thrives in hot spots with lean, well drained, non-clay soils. Have a challenging planting site? Try the re-seeding trio of ‘Burgundy Beauty Mix’ with Blue Flax and Chocolate Flower to spread and naturalize in these harsher areas. Zones 5-9.
