Penstemon pinifolius 'Magdalena Sunshine'
Yellow Pineleaf Beardtongue
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
8-10” x 15” wide. (Cutting propagated.) Discovered in central New Mexico’s Magdalena Mountains, this yellow flowering Pineleaf Beardtongue adds a splash of sunshine to your xeric garden in early summer. The light green needle-like leaves are evergreen and give it a nice year-round presence. Although the flowers aren’t red or orange they still attract hummingbirds. ‘Magdalena Sunshine’ is slightly more compact than ‘Mersae Yellow’ and is a bit more floriferous; a nice addition to the xeric garden.
Zones 5-9.
