Penstemon linarioides v. coloradensis
Colorado Narrowleaf Beardtongue
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
8” x 12” wide, (cutting propagated). 2005 Plant Select® Winner. A superb CO native Beardtongue with thin, blue-gray evergreen leaves and clouds of lavender-blue flowers in late spring. Has a shrubby growth habit. After the plant has finished blooming, deadhead the old flower spikes (leaving a few to allow re-seeding). A light shearing of the foliage in fall to shape the plant and remove any dead branches is helpful. Place it in full, hot sun.
