Panicum virgatum 'Dallas Blues' PPAF
Dallas Blues Switch Grass
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
4-6’ x 18” wide (division propagated) ‘Dallas Blues’ is among the finest of our native ornamental grasses! Originally discovered growing near Dallas, in northern TX, ‘Dallas Blues’ is a robust grower with awesome blue foliage and tan-aging-to-pink flower spikes in late summer/early fall. Tolerant to heat and humidity, this cultivar also grows nicely in the drier western US. Give this big boy room to grow. It likes lean-to-average soils. Once established grow on the dry side; this intensifies the blue foliage.
