Cascading Ornamental Oregano
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
18” x 18” wide, (cutting propagated). This is truly a spectacular flowering plant that will generate lots of admiring comments from visitors to your garden. By midsummer, the wiry stems hold hundreds of pendulous paper lantern-like bracts, each adorned with small rose-pink flowers. Use Origanum libanoticum on the edges in raised beds or berms where it will show to best advantage. Plant into well-drained soils of moderate fertility (not too much compost). Other small growing plants like Dwarf Blue Lavender, Thymus necceffii or Veronica incana make fine companions.
Zones 5-10.
Special Notes:
Plant with Lavender ‘Nana Blue’ and Scutellaria!
