Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
16-18” x 8-10” wide, (seed propagated). A western form of the infrequently cultivated Wood Lily, this selection is native to the streamside woodlands above Ft. Collins, CO. Its large vivid orange-red, purple spotted flowers are held high above sturdy stems in summer and light up the shady perennial beds in your landscape. When provided with sun and wind protection to keep it happy, this very special native lily will grow to form a showy, long-lived colony. Plant in moisture retentive, compost enriched soil and mulch well. Provide supplemental irrigation when the soil dries. Zones 4-8.
