Description:

16-24” tall. May-June blooming. A rare and spectacular new introduction from the high plateaus of NW Afghanistan, Iris cycloglossa is adorned with numerous 3-4” wide lilac-blue with white-centered flowers on each plant. The flowers have a delightfully spicy fragrance. Like Iris bucharica, Afghani Iris enjoys well-drained soils with spring moisture and dry summer conditions.
