Hesperaloe parviflora
Texas Red Yucca
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
5’ x 36” wide (seed propagated). Hesperaloe, a very showy native succulent from southern TX and northeastern Mexico, is not a new plant to cultivation. What is new about this beautiful plant has been the realization of its tolerance to sub-zero winter temperatures!
I’ve had this plant in our display gardens at Santa Fe Greenhouses for some 8 years, where it has flourished through many a bone chilling winter. So here it is; a xeric, long blooming, good-looking, very low maintenance plant that attracts hummingbirds. Grown in premium 5” deep pots. Should be spring or summer planted in Zones 5 and 6. Zones 5-10.
Summer shipping not available. Hesperaloe will begin shipping the week of August 20.
Special Notes:
A superb Perovskia companion! A xeric, long blooming, good-looking, very low maintenance plant that attracts hummingbirds!
