Helianthus maximiliana 'Lemon Yellow'
Lemon Yellow Maximilian’s Sunflower
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
6’ x 36” wide, (cutting propagated). I found this unusually colored Maximilian’s Sunflower one autumn afternoon while driving along a back road outside of Santa Fe, NM. With its primrose yellow flowers, it really stood out from all the other golden-flowered Sunflowers. ‘Lemon Yellow’ thrives in loam and clay and grows easily in hot, full sun locations, preferably against walls or fences where its large size can be appreciated. Grown in premium 5” deep pots. Zones 4-9.
Special Notes:
Plant with Salvia pitcheri and Zauschneria for a big color punch!
