Helianthus maximiliana 'Lemon Yellow'
Lemon Yellow Maximilian’s Sunflower
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
3’ x 36” wide, (cutting propagated). I found this unusually colored Maximilian’s Sunflower one autumn afternoon while driving along a back road outside of Santa Fe, NM. With its primrose yellow flowers, it really stood out from all the other golden-flowered Sunflowers. ‘Lemon Yellow’ thrives in loam and clay and grows easily in hot, full sun locations, preferably against walls or fences where its large size can be appreciated.
Zones 4-9.
Special Notes:
Plant with Salvia pitcheri and Zauschneria for a big color punch!
