Helianthemum nummularium 'Single Yellow'
Yellow Rockrose
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
6-9” x 18” wide (cutting propagated) ‘Single Yellow’ has been a star performer in our gardens with individual plants going on ten years old! They never fail to smother themselves with bright yellow flowers and tolerate the worst of our weather. Deep rooted with evergreen foliage, this little sub-shrub needs only occasional deep soakings and shrugs off the alkalinity in our soil. Shear back after flowering for light repeat blooming later in the summer.
Zones 4-9.
Special Notes:
Plant with Nepeta, Salvia ‘Wild Thing’ and Cerastium tomentosum!

GROWING TIPS
|
Shear back after flowering for light repeat blooming later in the summer. When planted in western gardens that are in Zones 5 and 6, it is helpful to cover the plants with evergreen boughs (great way to recycle your Xmas tree) to protect the evergreen foliage from scorching in the harsh drying rays of the winter sun. Remove the branches in mid-spring.
