Geranium sanguineum 'Violet'
Violet Cranesbill
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
12-14” x 15” wide. (Cutting propagated.) A beautiful purple-red flowering perennial geranium, ‘Violet’ blooms most heavily in late spring-early summer, then sporadically until fall. Fall brings a second season of color when its foliage turns reddish-orange. In the West, we value it for use in the irrigated perennial border. In the wetter climates of the Mid-West and East Coast, it will perform as an excellent low-care xeric perennial.
Zones 4-8.
