Description:
24-30” tall x 15” wide. (seed propagated).
A very showy selection of the native wildflower Gaillardia aristata, ‘Indian Yellow’ has coarse, mounding foliage and large 2”-3” wide flowers withfrilled pure yellow ray petals and a reddish center cone. Flowering begins in early summer and continues for many weeks when the plants are dead headed. ‘Indian Yellow’ grows best in low-fertility, sandy or loamy soils in full sun. The plant is very heat tolerant. It is easy to grow and highly attractive to butterflies. It can be used in both the perennial border and in wild flower plantings to add big splashes of color.

Plant with Stachys coccinea, Scabiosa ‘Butterfly Blue’ and Saliva ‘Blue Hill’.
