Description:

3-6’ x 2’ wide (seed propagated) This is a very large growing barrel cactus species found in southern NM and S.E. Arizona. A large specimen can reach 8’ with a diameter of 3’! Eventually it will bloom at the crown of the stem with a ring of showy orange flowers followed by large yellow fruit. Very heat tolerant. A great, long-lived potted plant too. Zones 7 (with protection) to 10.
