Erodium chrysanthum

Yellow Stork's Bill

Description:

5” x 12” wide, (cutting propagated). After several back-to-back dry summers had punished many of the plants in our Xeriscape Demonstration Garden, we were amazed to see how well Erodium chrysanthum continued to grow and bloom. However, there is more to this little treasure than its xeric constitution; Yellow Stork’s Bill also brightens the garden with its long display of primrose-yellow flowers and lacy gray-green foliage. Position this perennial in a hot, full sun spot in lean, well-drained soil. Artemisia ‘Green Mound’ is a great contrast plant. Zones 5-9.

Special Notes:

Plant with Penstemon!
