Diascia integerrima 'Pink Adobe'
'Pink Adobe' Twinspur
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
15” x 18” wide, (cutting propagated). ‘Pink Adobe’ is a new cold-hardy Twinspur we discovered growing in a large group of seed-grown Diascia plants. This one plant stood out with its captivating pale-salmon flowers. The unusual name comes from a particular color of lovely pale pink plaster that’s used to cover the adobe (dirt) brick walls in NM. This little beauty grows to form a dense, everblooming mound of lax stems. It thrives in compost-enriched soils with average-to-moist soil conditions. Plant ‘Pink Adobe’ with Scabiosa ‘Butterfly Blue’ and Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’. Shear off the faded flowers’ spikes in mid-summer for a fresh flush of flowers in fall.
Zones 5-9.
