Coryphantha recurvata Santa Cruz Co., AZ (SB719)
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
3-5” x 3-5” wide, (Seed propagated). This rare species from southern AZ is shy to bloom in cultivation, but thats alright because its the spination of C. recuvata that really attracts attention. The highly geometric arrangement of the down-ward facing centrals emerging from a star of flattened spines is superb. In outdoor beds and rock gardens, it demands baking heat, very well drained soil and protection from wet winter conditions. These are 5 year old plants.
Zones 7-10.
