Description:
2-3″ x 3-5″ wide, (Seed propagated) Found in the mountain meadows of Chihuahua, this rarely offered small growing ball cactus has distinctive wooly stem tops. It should be an excellent rock garden plant in the southwestern US where the winters are on the mild side. For gardeners outside of the Southwest, C. compacta is easily grown as a colorful, window sill plant.
