Callirhoe alcaeoides 'Logan Calhoun'
Logan Calhoun White Flowered Poppy Mallow
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
6” x 18-24” wide, (cutting propagated). Named in honor of the late TX plantsman Logan Calhoun, this exciting new cultivar was selected by Harlan Hamernik, owner of Bluebird Nursery in NE. The pure white flowers are held over loose mats of flat, spreading stems and can be used to accentuate the tall blue-flowered spikes of Penstemon strictus or the pink-flowered spires of Gaura ‘Sikiyou Pink’. In the garden Callirhoe “Logan Calhoun” enjoys the same cultural conditions preferred by its better-known cousin, the magenta Poppy Mallow. Zones 4-9.
Special Notes:
Try this with Gaura ‘Pink Cloud’ and Penstemon strictus!
