Description:
20-24” tall x 18-20” wide, (seed grown). This unique Butterfly Weed was originally collected by seedsman Alan Bradshaw of Alplains Seed Company on the Western Slope of Colorado. Here a robust colony of plants was growing in dry, alkaline sandy-loam soil. The particularly large, full flower heads are a uniformly deep golden-orange held high on big, vigorous plants with substantial deep green foliage followed by showy ornamental seed pods. Invaluable for use in areas with drier conditions and alkaline or limestone derived soils. Catalog and internet sales only. Zones 4-8.
