Alyssum montanum 'Mountain Gold'
Creeping Basket-of-Gold
Quick Facts
Legend
Description:
4” x 15-18” wide, (seed propagated). This groundcover Basket of Gold species is attractive in the garden both in and out of flower. In early spring, the plant smothers itself with countless bright-yellow flowers. After blooming is finished, shear off the faded flowers just above the foliage and enjoy the texture of its low-growing, gray-green mat of leaves. Easily grown in hot sunny areas of the garden, especially on slopes, along the edges of rock terraces, or in between stepping stones.
Zones 4-8
Special Notes:
Think Spring! This early spring bloomer is wonderful with blue spring bulbs such as the dwarf Iris. Under plant with Tulips for early spring color!
