Description:

48-52” tall. June-July blooming. An incredible new Dutch hybrid, ‘Ambassador’ is truly a giant with an attractive 20” tall vase of bright green, long-lasting foliage and enormous 8” diameter, dark purple flower heads. The individual star-shaped flowers are completely sterile and stay in color for many weeks, extending the bloom season for this vigorous hybrid to well over a month! Plant ‘Ambassador’ behind other tall, early-summer blooming perennials like ‘Coronation Gold’ Yarrow or Red Jupiter’s Beard (Centranthus) to balance its imposing presence.
