Agastache 'Black Adder'
Black Adder Hyssop
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
2 1/2-3’ x 15” wide, (cutting propagated). A recent introduction, ‘Black Adder’ is a showy cross between Agastache rugosum and Agastache foeniculum that blooms from mid-summer to frost. The smoky violet-blue flowers and dark purple buds (calyxes) are held on long spikes over nice mid-green foliage. This exciting hybrid will be a favorite of butterflies as it is an excellent nectar source. Grow ‘Black Adder’ in a well drained garden loam for best performance. You’ll love it as a wonderful flowering companion for summer blooming Echinacea (Purple Coneflower) and Solidago ‘Fireworks’(Golden Rod). Grown in premium 5” deep pots. Zones 6-9.
