Aegopodium podagraria ‘Variegatum’
Variegated Bishop’s Weed
Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
8” x 30” wide (division) This vigorous ground cover is invaluable for dry shade. The variegated green and white foliage helps light up the shady corners of your yard. Indifferent to soil type, Aegopodium is a good choice for clay soils. Like Vinca major, Aegopodium is an aggressive grower best used by itself to underplant larger woody trees and shrubs. Sometimes toward the end of hot, dry summers, the foliage will look tired and bedraggled. Just run the lawn mower over it and water it deeply to encourage fresh new growth.
Zones 3-9.
