Quick Facts :: Growing Tips
Legend
Description:
2” x 18” wide (cutting propagated). 1997 Plant Select® winner. For the Western gardener, there is no finer ground cover. This is a vigorous, fast-growing species that thrives in difficult climates. The ground-hugging stems of round, glossy evergreen leaves root as they creep across the garden, creating a thick green carpet.
Veronica liwanensis can be used like thyme to create a ground cover “lawn”. With the first hint of warmer weather to come, the small but numerous spikes of flowers paint the garden blue like a reflection of the sky. With a little extra water, Veronica liwanensis reblooms lightly later in summer. Needs afternoon shade in hot summer climates.
Zones 4-8
Available in a flat of (32) 2 1/2” pots (Save 25%).
Special Notes:
Great ground cover at the base of evergreens where it still gets some sun. Plant with spring flowering bulbs like Narcissus!
